Artslab Showcase of 2008:

'Alternate Directive' by David Kirkpatrick

The dark skies are filled with an eerie lapis smog. Rays of ultraviolet light slice through brown-grey clouds.
Degrading shells of once-proud vehicles litter the streets.
Suddenly a shadow moves slowly and determinedly across the blackened ground, metallic sounds permeate silence and screens light darkness.
A band of dishevelled heralds emerge to tell their story…

Part concert, part theatre, part movie,
Alternate Directive uses a combination of movement art, speech, projection,
motion tracking, UV light and unconventional instruments to explore the concept of choice through the issue of climate change.

'ImageNation' by Brigid Vidler
