Shopfront is a non-profit contemporary arts centre in south eastern metropolitan Sydney. Our members are young people 25 years and under.

Board

CHAIRPERSON: PAUL HEATH:
Paul is a legal practitioner and business systems analyst specialising in professional indemnity insurance and commercial litigation. He has maintained a strong interest in community and youth theatre over many years. Paul was a member of the Macquarie University Drama Society from 1988 to 1993. He is also an Adjudicator for the Catholic Schools Debating Association.

TREASURER: MY CHAPPEL:
My has extensive experience in financial & business management. She worked for Qantas airways for a number of years as Senior Manager, Corporate Risk and also held positions with the Victorian Public Service including Senior Accounting Policy Officer and Manager, Debt Strategy for the Department of Treasury. My holds a Master of Commerce, Finance and a Bachelor of Science (Honours).


DIRECTORS : TARA MORRIS & SARAH EMERY:
Tara has been a member of the Shopfront senior ensemble for several years and appeared in several productions. She is currently studying film production. In 2006 Tara was involved in RAW, a short season of new works, and was the multimedia operator on POP UP! Tara is a talented multi-media artist.


SECRETARY: IAIN CROSSING:
Iain is an independent theatre and film producer. In the past Iain has been General Manager for Tamarama Rock Surfers. He has produced over 20 productions in independent theatre since 1996. He has also co-founded and developed CUT Theatre Company. Most recently he has produced the highly acclaimed Hurly Burly at the Griffin Theatre, Sydney.

DIRECTOR: PETER HERMAN:
Peter has been an active volunteer at Shopfront for the past 3 years, providing assistance at end of term workshop performances and assistance with electrical upgrade on the Shopfront site. Peter is currently employed as an electrician at the Powerhouse Museum, and has a son who attends the Shopfront workshop program.

YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE; KIRSTON MILES:
Kirston is a member of the current Shopfront senior ensemble. She is developing a broad range of skills in performance. Recently Kirston wrote and directed a piece for the successful RAW season at Shopfront, in addition to appearing in short performance pieces. Kirston was a performer in Pop-Up . In April 06 Kirston attended the Australian Youth dance Festival and a residency with Y-Space with an ensemble from Shopfront. She also performed in POP UP! 2006
