(lost toy story) mag-a-log by VIBEWIRE A Must for the Festival

Viberwire have joined forces with Shopfront to produce a hybrid extension of the festival’s creative work. The mag-a-log is part program and a mashup of images, photography, stories, lyrics, poetry, editorial and reflections derived from the 4 months workshop and development process of lost toy story.

The mag-a-log is a must have for all festival audiences and can be purchased when you arrive at the festival’s starting point – Memorial Square, Hurstville.

As an added bonus the mag-a-log have a CD of the festival’s original music score.

 


 

(lost toy story) festival - PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

The three day festival will turn the streets of Hurstville into an outdoor festival of live theatre, dance floors and installations showcasing more than 100 young artists.
 
The festival features 12 locations featuring 24 original works:
 
The Lantern Tree, Toys in the window, Toy Detectives, It's your turn, Biassy (Journey), Hit the hedgehog, Ribbon, Lost and Broken Toy Hospital, I want this I want that, Knock, Knock!, Dance-o-matic Selecta, Dancing Bin Bears, Mr P Files, Wind Up, Memory Dance, Big Bear, Memory Boats, MTU: Missing Toys Unit, Song Stage, Grumpy Dog, Kar-tronikz, Rola Girl, The Toy Collector, Brokins (DVD)

Two weeks to GO - MARK THE DATE IN YOUR DIARYTwo weeks and counting. Shopfront presents the (lost toy story) festival, a multi-media interactive arts festival that is both exhibition and performance.  Hurstville’s laneways and streets will play host to the FREE 3 day festival from
22- 24 August 2008, between 6:00 – 7:30PM.
 
Be sure to lock the (lost toy story) festival dates into your diary to catch a six metre giant night-light teddy bear, hip hop songs about stuffed killer whales, a glow in the dark octopus and heartfelt poems about losing things and much more.
 
A special mag-a-log (produced by Vibewire) has been produced to enhance the festival experience. It is highly advisable to pick up a copy on arrival at Memorial Square to help you navigate the festival and its highlights. Families and young people are encouraged to explore the festival there is something for all ages.

Lost Toy appeal announced for August. Salvos on board. Shopfront has joined forces with The Salvation Army for a special lost toy appeal as part of the (lost toy story) festival. Toys will be collected at all Salvo's stores around Sydney throughout August for redistribution to kids in need. Click here to read more (24KB PDF)
