Concentrating on language and physical action, this practical, hands-on workshop will give participating writers the chance to create short, powerful work for theatre by using a wide range of contemporary writing techniques, especially those most relevant to creating exciting and innovative theatre.

Timothy Daly is one of Australia’s most experienced playwrights and teachers of writing. His play, Kafka Dances, is the most internationally-performed Australian play of the last three decades, with numerous international awards and productions to its credit. His most recent play Derrida In Love enjoyed a sell-out season at Sydney’s Ensemble Theatre in June, 2007. His radio work has been produced in seven countries. He is currently writing a comprehensive book on play-writing, The Techniques of Playwriting, for publication in 2008.
