Drama Workshops
The arts are a great way to have fun, and a fantastic creative, emotional and social outlet for Young People. Performance skills are transferrable across many aspects of life and can help with self‑confidence, imagination, empathy, co-operation, concentration, communication and memory.
What You’ll Learn
● Drama
For ages 8 - 10
Make friends, build confidence and develop skills performing, creating and speaking in public. In this workshop you’ll play drama games, and make your own short works to premiere at our end of term performance.
● Drama
For ages 11 - 14 / 15 - 17
Develop and strengthen skills in performance-making, communication, and critical thinking through performance techniques and drama games. You’ll work with traditional and non-traditional methods of theatre making, and develop your own short works for our end of term performance.
● Make a show!
If you’ve experienced our Drama workshops and want an opportunity to work on a full-length stage show, try your hand at one of our Ensembles!
Enrolment cost covers termly workshops, an intensive rehearsal period during the school holidays, and the performance week.

No previous experience necessary!

We recommend that all participants bring a bottle of water with them. If you are attending several workshops on the same day, we would recommend you bring a snack. Shopfront have a kitchenette facility that participants are welcome to use to fill up their water bottles, store food and warm your snacks.

We have no specific dress code at Shopfront Arts Co-op, however we would recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing for your workshops and flat shoes (no heels please).

Participants are welcome to take time out of their designated workshop if they need to. A member of Shopfront staffing will check on you and support you.
