This intensive has seven sessions where you'll cover:

1/5/26 — Induction

• Site induction

• Core theatre safety

• Orientation to creative & technical processes

8/5/26 — Rehearsal Room Safety & Workflow

• Working safely in a rehearsal room

• Translating creative notes into technical implications

• Tracking changes: maintaining a running list of emerging needs/risks

13/5/26 — Collaboration in a Production Context

• Working collaboratively with the creative team and artists (Harness Ensemble)

14/5/26 — Tools & Bump-in Operations

• Using electrical tools

• Work area control in a bump-in environment

• Basic stage setup and pack-down

15/5/26 — Rigging and the role of the Technician In A Collaborative Process

• Rigging fundamentals

• Problem-solving on the fly

19/5/26 — Professional Theatre Observation

• Observation of technical process within a professional operating theatre

20/5/26 — Shadowing (Placement)

• Shadowing technicians as caller, operators, and crew
  
  Technicians will learn from Shopfront's Production and Operations manager, Georgia Tyrril, amongst other guest designers and technicians.
