Workshops

At Shopfront, we provide a safe space where everyone is welcome and supported to express themselves free from judgement, among friends. Our workshops are a great introduction to the Shopfront community, and offers Young People an opportunity to explore Drama, Film-making, Singing, Technical Theatre, and more!

Workshops are offered to age groups 8-10, 11-14 and 15-17.

Weekly Workshops

Drama

Have fun creating stories for the stage and developing performance skills. Unleash your imagination amongst like-minded Young People while building your self‑confidence, co-operation, and concentration.

Film-making

Learn how to make your own films, from first concepts to finished edits, while developing communication and teamwork skills. We provide the equipment, you provide the ideas.

Singing

Get your confidence up and learn to sing solo or in a group! Led by our trained professional, this class is all about having fun, learning to use your voice and working with others to make wonderful music. No experience necessary!

Technical Theatre

Tackle all the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes of a stage show! Work on sound, lighting and set design, and get hands-on experience as production and stage managers in this workshop, designed for lovers of tech.

Masterclasses for Young People

In 2026, we’re offering a variety of smaller workshops, focusing on a different creative subject each term. Shorter than a full term but longer than a one-off, our Masterclasses are just the right size to satisfy a craving for something new!

Financial Support

Times are a little challenging for everyone right now. We are committed to working with parents and Young People to ensure no Shopfront member misses out. If you would like to organise support through any of the options below, please email Jasper, our Workshops Coordinator at jasper.lee-lindsay@shopfront.org.au

  • Let us know if you would like to trial a workshop before paying for a full term. We offer 3 free trial sessions before you must enrol in your chosen workshop. Trials may only be availble if the chosen workshop has not reached capacity.

  • Shopfront offers scholarships each term to cover partial or full fees for those who could use it. If you would like to apply for a scholarship or you want to know more, please get in touch.

  • We are more than happy to set up a payment plans. A schedule that works for you can be organised and we will follow up with invoices when appropriate.

  • At present, Shopfront services may be claimed for self-managed and plan managed NDIS funds.

    We will do our best to help, however specific questions about NDIS are best directed to your case manager or NDIS directly on 1800 800 110.

  • To use a Creative Kids voucher, please email our Workshops Coordinator with your voucher number, and an invoice will be sent to you to cover any remaining fees.
